Unter den Hut geschaut: There’s more out there|Unter den Hut geschaut: Blick über den Tellerrand

The announcement of the prizes of the Magic Grand Prix Bochum caused some uproar in the Yu-Gi-Oh! community. “Why are the Magic players so spoiled, getting overwhelmed with prizes like that?”, and “Why isn't Konami giving away that many prizes?”, were some of the questions that were being discussed in the forums.

It turned out that most of the players had no clue about some of the bigger TCGs. Stereotypes like “Nothing's happening in the first 4 turns in Magic”, could be read aplenty in the thread. I decided to shed some light on the topic and tried to explain the bigger differences between 3 of the 4 largest TCGs (I'm afraid I have no clue whatsoever about Pok√ɬ©mon): Unter den Hut geschaut: There's more out there!

Oh, lots of special sets I guess. Thanks for the comment, that certainly puts things in a slightly different perspective.

A quick search of unique cards on YVD shows that YGO has about 3900 cards 🙂
